This artist specializes in “healing” gardens, restorative architecture, color consultation, and most importantly (for me), mosaic work.
The spectacular mosaics in public spaces are some of the most charming things about Portland. I have never been to a city with more mosaics on street corners, in front yards, on the sides of buildings. I can only imagine that mosaics that must exist in the inside of buildings I will never think to enter. Valerie Garret does some fairly impressive mosaic work. She advertises her services for mosaic mirrors, picture frames, plaques, and pots, however it is clear that she has experience with more extensive projects. I encourage you to look at some of her examples here, especially the sun mosaic she did around a sink.
